The project is a renovation and addition to the existing terminal built in 1994. Work included demolition of 40,000 sf of existing building structures and facilities, a complete renovation of the existing building, and construction of 65,000 sf of new space including 144 prestressed piles, new entry areas, passenger screening areas, baggage scanning and handling facilities, ticketing, a 10,000 sf Customs and Border Protection facility, and a 320 foot passenger loading bridge equipped with sliding glass doors the entire length. The project was successfully completed on an expedited schedule of six months.
